Has anyone ever played EC bets using this progression?

Looks like you could have a win % of under 50% and still come out ahead.

Most progression (negative or positive) allow the player to win less than 50% of their bets and come out positive.

I've been reading up on the Mongoose progression due to some off line discussion I am having. A comment Swami stated over at ltw, about it's appeal being due to it being a "up as you lose" and "up as you win" progression.

What's wrong with STAR, does this not offer the opportunity to play "up and you win" as well as having a "up as you lose" component.

I did however like these comment concerning Baccarat, taken from the same web site;

"Looking for patterns in baccarat is as pointless as it is in roulette, they are both games of chance where the previous play never influences the next play. This is a simple trap that many novice gamblers all around the world fall into when playing any game of chance."

"It is futile to base your gaming decisions on results of previous bets."

Patterns \ trending \ guessing, anybody spot the similarities here.

Several things:

First, anyone know the difference between this and "Oscar's Grind?"

Second, unless there is some sort of relationship between the site above and Win-Maxx the posted plan was ripped, verbatim, including the graphics, from the Win-Maxx site (sans attribution).

For a 'twist' on Oscar (and presumably Pluscoup) see Larry Edell's writing at: http://edell.casinocitytimes.com

Its far better to consult your horoscope, biorhythms, and cast some chicken bones in the casino parking lot before going in. Each to his own.
